What Ready, Draft and Deprecated mean, and the current status of every component.

Statuses

Ready Use it

Stable and supported for production use on brand sites. Changes are documented in the changelog.

Draft Use with caution

Still in development. Its API, styling or behavior can change in any release, and its documentation may be incomplete. Fine for prototypes; check the changelog before upgrading.

Deprecated Avoid in new work

Still works, but is no longer maintained and will be removed in a future major release. Plan to move existing uses to a supported component.

Lifecycle

Components move through statuses in one direction.

DraftBuilt and documented, open for feedback.
ReadyReviewed, tested and approved for production.
DeprecatedReplaced or retired. Still ships, no longer maintained.
RemovedDeleted from the package in a major release. Older docs stay available from the Versions page.
